The silent connector automatically mutes (shorts) an instrument (guitar) cable to avoid pops and squeals when changing the instrument (guitar) under load. This makes it ideal for live applications where you might want to hot swap a guitar or avoid PA noise in the event of an accidental disconnection.
As standard we offer the straight or right angle version terminated with Van Damme Pro Grade Classic guitar cable and silver solder. The cable is comprised of 43% silver plated conductors and 57% oxygen free copper conductors, a thermoplastic conductive shield as a first shield and then a second spiral copper shield encased in a flexible PVC jacket that is only 6mm in diameter. With a capacitance of 90 pF/m Van Damme Pro Grade Classic comes in at 7th place on our Capacitance League Table which makes it suitable for general purpose stage and studio applications, acoustics guitars, electric guitar tone shaping in long length.
Klotz AC104 - The cable is comprised of 28 x 0.22mm oxygen free copper conductors, a conductive plastic layer as a first shield and then a second spiral shield in a very flexible black PVC jacket that is 6.1mm in diameter. With a capacitance of 115 pF/m Klotz AC104 comes in at 8th place on our Capacitance League Table which makes it suitable for general purpose stage and studio applications, acoustic, bass and electric guitars.
