SquarePlug SPS4 Low Profile Patch Cable

Pancake plugs have dominated pedalboards for decades due to their compactness and space saving design allowing for the most intricate pedalboard rigs. The standard ¼” straight connector on the other hand has failed to get as much of a guernsey due to the size of the connector body that tends to protrude way too far for the compactness pedalboards and switching systems call for. SquarePlug have solved this issue with the short body SPS4 straight ¼”  TS plug in an incredible feat of miniaturisation. SPS4 straight plug is a mere 5.1cm from connector tip to cable entry point. A Neutrik NP2X ¼” straight plug is 9.4cm from connector tip to cable entry and Switchcraft 280 is 7.3cm from connector tip to cable entry. That is a massive space saving for pedalboards and switching systems where space is at a premium and compactness is a priority.

SPS4 is significantly smaller than all the currently available professional ¼” connectors. No corners have been cut in quality and reliability and this is evidenced in the dual screw strain relief system that firmly secures the cable with the screws neatly recessing into the connector body so they do not cause an obstruction.

We have selected Mogami 2314 and silver plated Van Damme Pro Patch as the cable offerings for their high quality, flexibility and low capacitance. The flexibility of the cables allows them to be bent and twisted in all sorts of directions and shapes without it feeling forced like larger diameter cables. The cables low capacitance of 110 pF/m and 95 pF/m outperforms most if not all other professional brands in the small diameter category and is terminated with Kester silver solder, assuring the most transparent signal transmission and highest quality we can offer our customers.
